The FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) has reclassified packaged drinking water and mineral water as a "high-risk food category". This means that manufacturers of these products are now subject to more stringent regulations and annual third-party food safety audits. The FSSAI has also removed the mandatory requirement for BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification for packaged drinking water. | Ishan Rashid Ganai
