You ever notice how Isaiah 7:14 is quoted to prove the virgin birth? Isaiah wasn’t predicting anything. He said that during a war to calm the people of Jerusalem. The Hebrew word meant “young woman,” not “virgin,” and Immanuel means “God’s son.” Matthew just shifted the wording so the prophecy would fit the story. Prophecy didn’t predict faith.
